TAFE Outreach programs are closely aligned to the Federal Social Inclusion Agenda ensuring NSW education is accessible to people who face barriers to learning including geographical and social isolation, language and cultural factors, financial hardship, lack of educational confidence, being unaware of opportunities to learn, a disability or family commitments.

A Lismore Youth Project in Partnership with YWCA


Young people in the Lismore Local Government Area who have disengaged from other education and training options are the participants in this program.
Community partners formed a Steering Committee comprising:
  • TAFE Outreach Coordinator
  • CITK Co-ordinator from the YWCA
  • Juvenile Justice
  • Police
  • Lismore Shire Council
  • Youth Pathway
  • Lismore Youth Interagency representatives.
Funding has been sourced from the YWCA, TAFE and Attorney General’s Department.
