What are the outcomes?

Graduation
Two Youth Enterprises have been established.
Yummy Catering which runs out of the YWCA, caters for local organisations and community groups, and Pulse Cafe operates in the Lismore business district. Both enterprises provide extensive work experience for students, as well as ongoing employment opportunities.
During the past three years 25 young people have graduated from Community in the kitchen. They have obtained work in local businesses, in particular as hospitality apprentices and trainees. A number have continued their TAFE studies and have transitioned to the Certificate III in Hospitality. Several have moved to other areas of employment, in particular retail. Some students continued to have paid work in the enterprises, Yummy Catering and Pulse Cafe, which have themselves been important outcomes of the project.
